Gadebridge Community Centre, Rossgate, HP1 3LG

Ideally, we would like to begin the photography session with students wearing their Eclipse Dance Academy class uniform. This will be perfect for the warm-up and for capturing some general portrait photos of the students in their uniform.

After the general portrait photos are taken some students will be invited to change into their preferred dancewear. Depending on their age, this may be a simple black two-piece outfit or one of their competition costume.

Dance Outfit:

When selecting your dance outfits, We would recommend vibrant colours to help you stand out on the white background. Dark colours like black work well but white outfits are not recommended for this shoot. 

Acro Outfit:

For students that take Acro classes, We would recommend black shorts or black leggings and a black crop top or black t-shirt.

Hair:

Please arrive with your hair done as you would for a dance class or competition.

Footwear:

Additional footwear is not required but if you would like to bring additional footwear with you please do so.

Online Photo Gallery:

Due to the age of the children involved, parents of participating students will have limited online access to view photos from this session. Each parent will be given access to view and purchase individual photos of their own child. (Access may be subject to change depending on any applicable restrictions.)

Model Release Form:

For students under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign a model release form prior to the photo shoot. This standard consent form gives permission for your child to be photographed.

What To Expect At The Studio:

The majority of these photographs will be shot on a white background.

Snacks and Drinks:

Bring along some snacks and drinks, just in case you get hungry or thirsty during the session. Avoid messy snacks that could stain clothing.

Hair and Makeup:

Please arrive with your hair and makeup done as you would for a dance class or competition. Feel free to bring makeup or hair products for touch-ups during the shoot.

Skincare and Fake Tan:

If you typically use fake tan for dance competitions, please apply it before the shoot. Fake tan is optional and based on your personal preference.

Nail Varnish:

For this shoot we would recommend wearing no nail varnish or one that is very light. Please check all your nails are clean and tidy.

Please note: this is a complimentary photography session, organised by Eclipse Dance Academy, and is offered free of charge to all participating students. (to be updated)

This photo shoot is open to both beginner and advanced dancers and will capture a dynamic mix of dance-themed shots, acrobatic poses, individual portraits, and small team photos.

Parents with children who participate will have the opportunity to view and purchase photos from the photo shoot. Some restrictions may apply when purchasing photos please see the section titled ‘General Details About This Photography Session’ for more information.

The photographer on the day will be Jason Edwards. Jason is a recommended photographer by Eclipse Dance Academy and has over eight years experience photographing professional dancers and dance academies. He is a full-time photographer, DBS-checked, and fully insured with public liability cover.
