Male Actor Headshot - Test Shoot

Introduction

I'm excited to announce that we are currently looking for a male actor to take part in a collaborative headshot test shoot. The session will provide an opportunity to explore a range of poses and lighting setups while creating a collection of professional headshot images.

Concept

This headshot test shoot will be a collaborative studio session, providing an opportunity to explore a variety of poses, expressions, and lighting setups. The flexible nature of a test shoot allows us to experiment creatively and work together to produce a varied set of photographs.

Following the session, you will receive access to a private online gallery where you can view all of the images from the shoot and select your favourite photographs for professional retouching.

The test shoot will take place in the studio, allowing us to work with a range of lighting setups and backgrounds to create a diverse collection of headshots.

Model Requirements

For this test shoot, we are ideally seeking a male actor who is actively pursuing a career in acting. It would be beneficial to have a publicly accessible Instagram profile that reflects your involvement in acting or demonstrates your interest in pursuing acting opportunities. No previous modelling experience is required to take part in this test shoot.

Recommended Outfits

I recommend bringing a selection of outfits to the shoot so that we can decide on the day which options work best. For actor headshots, a casual white shirt, a casual black shirt, and a shirt or polo top with some colour can provide a good variety of looks.

While this test shoot is primarily focused on headshots, it can also be helpful to bring two or three different styles of trousers or jeans to complement your chosen outfits.

Timeline

I anticipate the shoot taking place within the next two to three weeks, subject to the actor's availability.

Collaboration

Test shoots are collaborative portfolio-building sessions where photographers, participants, and, where appropriate, makeup artists work together to create new images. These sessions are typically unpaid and are designed to provide mutual benefits for everyone involved.

Following the shoot, participants will receive access to a private online gallery where they can view all of the photographs from the session and select their favourite images for professional retouching. The retouched images can be used to help build a portfolio, strengthen an online presence, or share on social media.

The photographs created during the test shoot will primarily be used by the photographer for display within our website portfolio, social media channels, and promotional materials. Depending on the requirements of the individual test shoot and the experience of the participant, travel expenses or additional compensation may be offered.
