Dance Photography - Test Shoot

Hi, and welcome to the website.
I’ve created this page to give you some helpful information about the test shoot. Hopefully, it will answer some of your questions. If you would like to take part in the test shoot, you can register your interest using the link at the bottom of the page, or just send me an email.

I’m looking for a dancer who is comfortable posing and performing a range of dance poses and movements in the studio.
Ideally, the dancer will currently attend dance classes and have at least two years of experience studying a range of dance styles, such as contemporary, lyrical, disco freestyle, jazz or street dance.
There is no age restriction for this test shoot, and no previous modelling experience is required.

Following the shoot, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery where you can view all of the photographs from the session and select your favourite images for professional retouching. The finished images can be shared on social media or used to help build and strengthen your portfolio.
The photographs created during the test shoot may also be used by Elite Portrait Photography for promotional purposes, including displaying them within the website portfolio and sharing them across our social media channels.

This test shoot includes access to a private online gallery where you can view all the photographs from your session.
You’ll be able to select 10 of your favourite images to be professionally retouched and provided as high-resolution digital files, ready for you to download, save and share.

I’d like to book the shoot soon, ideally within the next two to three weeks, subject to the model’s availability.

The studio location will be confirmed based on the dancer’s availability and location. I’ll contact you by email to check your availability and location before booking the most convenient studio for you.
Creative Direction
For this shoot, I’m particularly interested in working with a dancer who regularly takes part in dance competitions. I’m hoping to create a colourful collection of dance-themed photographs in the studio, incorporating some of your favourite dance moves, poses and costumes.
During the shoot, you’ll have the opportunity to browse through some of our printed pose guides, and we can work together to choose some of your favourite poses. This will allow us to create a collection of images that suits your age, experience and ability as a dancer.
Outfits & Styling
For this shoot, I’m looking for a dancer with a variety of colourful dancewear that they would be happy to wear during the photo shoot. This could include colourful sportswear and trainers, contemporary dance outfits, jazz costumes and dance shoes.
If you’re unsure what to bring, I’ve included some outfit examples to give you some inspiration and help you decide what you might like to wear for the shoot.
