Eclipse Dance Academy – Dance Photography - Information Page

Hi, it’s Jason here from Elite Portrait Photography.

I’ve put this page together to keep all the key information in one place regarding the potential photo shoot with your dance academy. Hopefully, you'll find it useful to have everything organised in one central location.

You previously mentioned that you were more interested in the first option I sent over, compared to the second. Based on that, I’ve updated a page on my website tailored specifically for your dance academy. This page is designed to be shared with parents of your students and includes full details about the proposed photo shoot.

The page covers:

  • How the photographs will be used

  • The types of images that will be captured

  • Location details

  • Clothing and styling suggestions

At the bottom of the page, there’s a form for parents to complete if they’re happy for their child to take part. The form will be linked directly to your email address, so you’ll receive submissions directly and know who’s interested.

About Pricing

As much as I love photography, quoting for people I haven’t worked with before is always the trickiest part! The pricing for this shoot isn’t fixed yet, so I’d really value your feedback. I'd like to list three previous quote options to give you a sense of what might work best.

Please let me know which one you feel suits your academy and your students best:

Option 1: Academy-Funded

£120 total for a 3-hour photo shoot, Invoiced to the academy

  • 3-hour shoot

  • Includes 24 high-resolution files

  • Invoiced to the academy (in this past case, the studio space was provided, so no extra location costs)

  • Additional high-res files: £4 each

  • Free for students to attend

Option 2: Fully Free Session

No cost to the academy

  • 3-hour shoot

  • No location costs (assuming space is provided)

  • No high-res files included up front

  • High-res files charged individually to the academy: £8 per high-res file

  • Free for students to attend

Option 3: Student Offer

£20 per student (paid by students directly to elite portrait photography, 8 students booked as a minimum requirement)

  • 3-hour shoot

  • No location costs (assuming space is provided)

  • Each student receives one complimentary 8x6 print

  • Dance academy receives 24 high-resolution files at no charge

  • Designed as a special offer for you students to access professional affordably dance photography

Here are a couple of options I have used before, I’m happy to adjust them if needed.

  1. ‘Dance Academy Photography’ this would be where I bring a mobile studio (background and lighting) to your dance academy and you can arrange for your competition team to have some photographs in their competition outfits and dance school branded clothing.

  2. ‘Dance photography’ this would be a very similar set up to the link I sent you, I would set up an offer on my website which you could then send to your dance students and if they’re interested in booking a photo shoot, they can let me know.

Hi, I think the 1st option would be a great idea. This option is designed for dance academy owners so they can organise a photo shoot of their students and dance teams, which can then be used on their website and social media posts.

With the 1st option, you would be organising the photo shoot yourself i.e., it would take place at your dance academy. This means you would have access to the gallery and all of the images.

If you’d like to offer this option to all of your students, that’s absolutely fine. You could then gather some feedback to see who would be interested in participating in the photo shoot at the academy before booking a date.
